Batch Verification Tool
Enter your LOT number and we'll pull the full Certificate of Analysis in seconds — third-party tested for purity, potency, and freshness, straight from the Nordic Naturals lab in Watsonville.
Why batch verification matters
Unauthorized resellers on Amazon and eBay buy overstock at closeout, store it in hot warehouses, and re-ship it past its freshness window. By the time it reaches you, the oil can be oxidized — no better than canola. Batch verification fixes that.

IFOS (International Fish Oil Standards) re-runs every heavy-metal, dioxin, and PCB assay. Every lot on this page earned an IFOS 5-star rating.
Our bottles ship directly from Nordic Naturals' licensed distributor — no wholesale detours, no mystery storage. The LOT you verify here is the bottle on your counter.
IGEN-verified non-GMO, including the softgel casing. Wild-caught anchovies, sardines, mackerel, and herring from Friend-of-the-Sea fisheries.
Sample Certificate of Analysis
Every Ultimate Omega 2X bottle sold by Omega Direct tests to the same specification. This is the actual COA for LOT # 252549 — and the reason every capsule delivers 2,150 mg of omega-3 per serving without the mercury, PCB, or oxidation load that plague cheaper fish oils.
Tested in-house by Nordic Naturals' Watsonville lab and independently verified by IFOS (International Fish Oil Standards).
Frequently asked
Nordic Naturals prints the LOT number in white ink on the underside of every bottle. It's always six digits, and sits directly below the expiration date. Format: LOT # 252549. If you can't find it, your bottle likely wasn't sealed at Nordic's Watsonville or Arlington facility.
Nordic Naturals issues LOT numbers only to licensed distributors. Omega Direct is on that list. Third-party Amazon resellers, closeout warehouses, and eBay sellers rarely are — so their LOT numbers typically won't resolve here, even if the bottle looks identical.
A COA is the lab report proving that a specific batch meets the label claim. Nordic Naturals runs three rounds of testing: potency (EPA / DHA content), purity (heavy metals, PCBs, dioxins), and oxidation (TOTOX, peroxide, anisidine values). Each batch gets a unique COA, then IFOS re-runs purity and oxidation independently.
TOTOX measures the total oxidation of the oil — the sum of anisidine value + (2 × peroxide value). The GOED industry limit is 26 meq/kg. Ultimate Omega 2X comes in at 2.7. That's the freshness difference you can taste: no fishy burps, no rancid aftertaste.
Not necessarily. Nordic Naturals produces hundreds of lots per year; this tool currently covers the three lots that Omega Direct is actively shipping. If you bought from us and your LOT isn't here, email support@omegadirectshop.com with a photo and we'll confirm within 24 hours. If you bought from another seller, it likely means the batch has cycled out of authorized distribution.
